Futaminoura is the gateway to Ise-Shima National Park and a popular tourist spot known for its Meoto Iwa Rocks, making it a convenient base for sightseeing in Ise-Shima.
It is said that the name Futami in Futami Town comes from the fact that Yamatohime-no-Mikoto, who accompanied Amaterasu Omikami to Ise, was so impressed by the area’s beauty that she looked back twice.
